2006 US Paralympics Track and Field High Perfomance Plan

Dear USABA Track and Field Athletes

The 2006 US Paralympics Track and Field High Performance Plan is now posted on the U.S. Paralympics website. The direct link to the page is: http://www.usolympicteam.com/paralympics/track_field_teams_33686.htm.  There you can also find the required Proof of Form and requirements.

The 2006 U.S. Paralympic Track and Field National Championships are scheduled for June 30th to July 2nd in Atlanta, GA. All event information including registration, hotels, etc will be posted at www.blazesports.com. Please note that athletes must meet the National Championships Qualifying Standards in order to enter the competition. These National Championships will serve as the trials in order to qualify for the World Championships Team.

The 2006 IPC Athletics World Championships will be held September 1-10, 2006 in Assen, Netherlands. Selection procedures are now posted on the U.S. Paralympic website and can be found at this direct link http://www.usolympicteam.com/ATH06WCHSelectionProceduresAthletesFINAL.

The United States Association of Blind Athletes, a member organization of the U.S. Olympic Committee, is a non-profit organization that provides training for blind and visually impaired athletes for competition in nine sports. USABA members range from blind children developing sports skills to elite athletes who train for competitions such as the Paralympic Games, which continually draws more than 4,000 disabled athletes.
