Tiger Claw Signs On As Official Sponsor Of The USABA Judo National Team

The United States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) is pleased to announce Tiger Claw as the Official Sponsor of the USABA Judo National Teams through the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games.  Through this sponsorship, Tiger Claw will not only provide support to the USABA Judo National Team, but assist USABA in its fundraising efforts through The Tiger Claw Foundation.

Tiger Claw has been a high-end manufacturer and distributor of martial arts supplies for more than 20 years.  The Tiger Claw product line covers all areas of martial arts supplies from protective gear to uniforms to swords and operates facilities in Fremont, Calif. and Knoxville, Tenn.  Tiger Claw also publishes Claw Marks—the largest circulation martial arts business newsletter in America, and the popular newsstand magazine Kung Fu Tai Chi.

“Tiger Claw is proud to be the Official Sponsor of the USABA Judo National Teams.  It has been exciting to follow the phenomenal success of these multi-medal winning athletes over the past several years,” said Thomas Oh, President and CEO of Tiger Claw.  “It is an honor for us to be able to work directly with USABA to help these martial artists achieve their goals and dreams,” added Oh

“USABA is excited to welcome Tiger Claw as the Official Sponsor of the USABA Judo National Team,” said Kevin Szott, President, USABA Board of Directors and Paralympic Gold medalist in 2000 & 2004 Paralympic Bronze medalist in Judo.  He added, “Tiger Claw has been the market leader in martial arts sector and we are fortunate to have them as a partner.”

The United States Association of Blind Athletes, a member organization of the U.S. Olympic Committee, is a non-profit organization that provides training for blind and visually impaired athletes for competition in nine sports. USABA members range from blind children developing sports skills to elite athletes who train for competitions such as the Paralympic Games, which continually draws more than 4,000 disabled athletes.
