July 2008 USABA Emerging Training Camps and State Games of the West
More than 10,000 (sighted) athletes will compete in the inaugural State Games of the West to be held in Colorado Springs, July 24-27, 2008. 30+ sports are on the program and USABA athletes will successfully integrate and compete against their sighted peers and blind and visually impaired peers in each respective age category within your one register sport of choice. Prior to the State games, from July 22-24, USABA National Coaches will lead training camps at Colorado College in Colorado Springs in each respective sport.
Detailed information and registration forms will be available on the USABA website in February 2008.

The United States Association of Blind Athletes, a member organization of the U.S. Olympic Committee, is a non-profit organization that provides training for blind and visually impaired athletes for competition in nine sports. USABA members range from blind children developing sports skills to elite athletes who train for competitions such as the Paralympic Games, which continually draws more than 4,000 disabled athletes.
