USABA Announces Goalball Price Changes

As you know, pertoleum price increases are hitting all of us in our wallets. Some of these increases, such as higher gasoline and airfare prices are obvious. However, increased petroleum prices also impact not so obvious items such as the costs to produce and deliver goods and services.

Additonally, our dollar continues to have less and less buying power on the European economy. Consequently, goods and services we procure from Europe are getting more expensive by the day.

We just received notice from our goalball supplier in Germany that they substantially increased the price of their goalballs. The price of the air freight delivery that gets the balls from Germany to the United States also increased. While we significantly lowered our prices last year to provide you goalballs at a price that was essentially our cost, we are now forced to raise our goalball prices to match our increased costs.

Effective immediately and until further notice, goalball prices are $100 per ball for current USABA members, and $125 per ball for non-members. We implemented a two-tiered pricing structure to provide value to our members and the additional charge for non-members helps to offset some of the cost of the goalballs, helping us keep the price we charge our members as low as possible.
