USABA Goalball Nationals Return to Fort Wayne’s Turnstone Center

The U.S. Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) has announced the 2024 USABA Goalball National Championships are returning to the Turnstone Center in Fort Wayne, Ind., Aug. 2-4. Manticores & Maryland Minks win Southwest Qualifier


Ten teams converged on Phoenix, Arizona, Jan. 19-21, for the USABA Southwest National Goalball Qualifier hosted by Ability360 Sports & Fitness Center. The competition was divided into six men’s teams and four women’s teams taking to the court for the three-day event. In the men’s division, the defending national champions Manticores went 3-1-1 in pool play but stepped it up in the medal round with a 10-8 victory over the Texas Rattlesnakes in the semifinal and an 8-2 win over the King Cobras in the gold medal contest. It’s Silver for USA Goalball Teams at Parapan American Games

SANTIAGO, Chile (November 24, 2023) – As they did four years ago in Lima, Peru, the USA Goalball teams came away with silver medals following the finals of the 2023 Parapan American Games in Santiago, Chile. The U.S. men’s team lost 12-2 to defending world and Paralympic champion Brazil in the men’s final, while the U.S. women dropped a 4-3 decision to Canada in their final qualification opportunity for next summer’s Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. USA Goalball Teams Advance to Parapan Finals as Men’s Team Punches Ticket to Paris

SANTIAGO, Chile (November 23, 2023) – There was much to be thankful for in Santiago, Chile, on this Thanksgiving Day. The USA Men’s Goalball Team qualified for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games on Thursday and the USA Women’s Goalball Team will have an opportunity to join them on Friday as both teams are advancing to the finals of the 2023 Parapan American Games. SANTIAGO, Chile (November 22, 2023) – The USA Goalball men’s and women’s teams moved one step closer to qualifying for next summer’s Paris 2024 Paralympic Games with their respective victories in Wednesday’s quarterfinal round of the 2023 Parapan American Games.
