USA Goalball Teams Named to Compete in 2015 Parapan American Games


National Goalball Team Head Coaches Ken Armbruster and Mike Legé have named the Women’s and Men’s teams, respectively, who will represent Team USA at the Parapan American Games in Toronto August 8-15, 2015. Both teams will play in a round robin tournament format beginning Sunday, August 9 at 12:45 p.m. EST. USA-Russia Goalball Exchange Program: May 10-20, 2015


The U.S. Embassy in Moscow will host 6 youth athletes and 4 coaches from the United States for a Goalball sports exchange program, May 10-20, 2015. The exchange program is a partnership between the United States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA), the United States Embassy in Russia and the U.S. Department of State’s division of Sports Diplomacy – SportsUnited, and has been made possible by funding from the Department of State. The United States Women’s National Goalball Team had just celebrated a gold medal performance at the 2014 International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Goalball World Championships in Espoo, Finland. Rocky Mountain State Games Results


With a successful day of competition on Saturday, July 19, the Rocky Mountain State Games—a Colorado-based, multi-sport event that spans two weekends—witnessed goalball for the first time since 1990. Veterans, athletes, staff, coaches and officials from across the country attended a 3-day clinic leading up to the tournament. Five teams in total competed in the day-long competition. USA Women Win Gold, Men Win Bronze and Trip to Rio

Jul 05, 2014 USA Women Win Gold, Men Win Bronze and Trip to Rio There were smiles all around on the medal stands today as both the Men's and Women's National Teams won their respective games. The Men defeated Lithuania in the bronze medal game 4-2 and with their bronze medal also secured their spot in the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games.
