More Than 120 Runners and Guides Compete at USABA Marathon National Championships

Athletes from across the U.S. – and around the world – traveled to Sacramento in early December for the 2019 USABA Marathon National Championships. Fifty runners, including nine military veterans, and more than 70 guides joined USABA for the 11th anniversary of the event. 2019 USABA Marathon Nationals to Feature More Than 110 Athletes

Since 2008, the U.S. Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) has partnered with Sacramento Running Association to make the California International Marathon (CIM) inclusive for runners with visual impairments. This year, the group of more than 110 blind runners and guides includes military veterans, local runners, international runners and Paralympic athletes. Josh Welborn Looks to Finish Impressive Summer with Gold in Lima

Memorial Day weekend saw Welborn’s team take gold at the United States Association of Blind Athletes’ National Championships. Over the Fourth of July week, he led Team USA as the top goal scorer during the International Blind Sports Federation’s Goalball Qualifier. 2019 Parapan American Games Rosters Announced

Eight Paralympic Medalists Dot U.S. Goalball Rosters for Parapan American Games

(July 25, 2019) -- The United States will send a seasoned group of goalball athletes, sprinkled with a few rising stars, to Lima, Peru, to compete at the 2019 Parapan American Games next month. Two-thirds of the men’s and women’s goalball rosters include medalists from the Paralympic Games Rio 2016. For the U.S. men’s goalball team, the Parapan Am Games represent the final opportunity to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games.
