USA Goalball’s Tyler Merren Named Team USA Community Champion

The United States Olympic & Paralympic Foundation is proud to announce four athletes as the 2022 award recipients for Team USA Community Champions in partnership with Comcast. Previously known as the Team USA Service and Hope Award, this is the second year that the USOPF has given athletes this honor. Mary Cain (Atalanta NYC), Kelsey Dickinson (Women Ski Coaches Association), Tyler Merren (U.S. Association of Blind Athletes), and Billy Mills (Running Strong for American Indian Youth), were selected based on their commitment to serving and bettering their communities through nonprofit work. With just over five years until the team makes its Paralympic Games debut in Los Angeles, the USA Blind Soccer Men’s National Team dipped its toes into the international competition waters with a pair of friendlies against its neighbor to the north, Canada. Chula Vista hosts historic matches vs. Canada, March 19-20 (March 15, 2023) – History will be made this weekend in Chula Vista, Calif., as the USA Blind Soccer Men’s National Team makes its debut on the pitch with two international friendlies against Canada. Sixteen Individuals Selected to be USABA Sport Ambassadors for 2023

The U.S. Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) is pleased to announce 16 individuals who will serve as the organization’s sport ambassadors for 2023. Now in its second year, the USABA Sport Ambassador Program utilizes key stakeholders within the blind and visually impaired community from across the country. Fun on the Slopes of Breckenridge

After a three-year hiatus, blind and visually impaired skiers and snowboarders returned to the slopes of Breckenridge, Colorado, for three fun-filled days in the snow, March 3-5. Seven skiers and several family members enjoyed a top-notch experience thanks to the staff and guides from the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center who helped with everything from equipment rentals, lessons, lunch at the slopes and dinner at the Griffith Lodge.
