Coca-Cola Provides Professional Opportunity for Paralympic Athletes

By: Amanda Weldon The Coca-Cola Company is making great strides in supporting Team USA’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Paralympian and Women’s National Goalball Team member, Amanda Dennis (Peachtree, Ga.) fulfilled an internship with Coca-Cola this year. Dennis graduated from the University of Georgia last May with a degree in Sports Management. USABA Tandems Sprint to the Podium at Track Cycling Open

Cyclists from across the country met in Carson, California this weekend to compete in the U.S. Paralympic Track Cycling Open. Of the seven tandem cycling teams, only the best would emerge as champions. Many of the stokers on the start list are cross-over athletes and military veterans who became acquainted with the sport through cycling development camps hosted by United States Association of Blind Athletes. U.S. Association of Blind Athletes and Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports host largest gathering in the nation The United States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) is pleased to partner with Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sport again to host the 9th annual Winter Ski Festival at Pico Mountain, Feb. 5-8. USA Women’s Goalball Takes SILVER In Pajulahti Games

The score was 2-2 in regular time, Russia barely overcoming USA with a final score of 6-4 in overtime. Mentors provide advice, encouragement and support. They help us through hard times and celebrate our victories with us. They listen and empathize, teach and counsel. For Paralympians Amanda Dennis (Peachtree, Ga.) and Tucker Dupree (Raleigh, N.C.), mentors also provide a positive outlook and encouragement when training seems overwhelming and when life gets tough.
